Position Overview
GS Energy Group is seeking an Energy Engineer to support building
performance, energy
efficiency, and sustainability projects across commercial, institutional, industrial, and public-sector
facilities. This role involves technical analysis, field assessments, HVAC system evaluations, and
development of energy conservation strategies.
Responsibilities
- Perform energy audits and building performance assessments
- Conduct HVAC system evaluations and field investigations
- Develop energy conservation measures (ECMs) and savings calculations
- Support utility incentive and rebate programs
- Prepare technical reports, calculations, and project documentation
- Analyze utility consumption and operational data
- Participate in site visits and client meetings
- Support decarbonization, electrification, and sustainability studies
- Assist with building code and compliance-related projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Energy, or related Engineering field
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and building systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Excel and technical calculations
- Energy modeling experience preferred
- EIT, CEM, LEED, or related certifications are a plus
Compensation
