Engineering Intern

Position Overview

GS Energy Group is seeking motivated Engineering Interns interested in energy engineering, commissioning, HVAC systems, building performance, and sustainability consulting. This role provides exposure to real-world projects involving commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Support energy audits and field assessments
  • Assist with HVAC system evaluations and site investigations
  • Participate in commissioning and functional testing activities
  • Support technical calculations and documentation
  • Assist with data collection and analysis
  • Help prepare reports, spreadsheets, and project deliverables
  • Support utility analysis and building performance studies
  • Participate in project meetings and site visits

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Energy, Electrical, Architectural, or related Engineering field
  • Interest in HVAC systems, energy efficiency, and building systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel preferred
  • Revit, AutoCAD, or energy modeling experience is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn

Compensation

Internship compensation will be commensurate with academic background, technical skills, experience level, and overall fit for the position.
