Project Manager – Energy & Commissioning

Position Overview

GS Energy Group is seeking a Project Manager to lead energy engineering, commissioning, and building performance projects from initiation through completion. The role requires strong technical knowledge, client coordination skills, and experience managing multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage energy engineering and commissioning projects from planning through closeout
  • Coordinate project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
  • Manage client relationships and project communications
  • Support proposal preparation and business development activities
  • Coordinate field investigations, site visits, and commissioning activities
  • Review technical reports and project documentation
  • Lead project meetings with owners, contractors, and consultants
  • Manage project risks, schedules, and resource allocation
  • Support quality control and technical review activities
  • Mentor junior engineers and technical staff

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Energy, Electrical, or related Engineering field
  • 5+ years of experience in energy engineering, commissioning, HVAC, or building systems
  • Strong understanding of commercial building systems and controls
  • Experience managing technical projects and client relationships
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • PE, CEM, BCxP, or related certifications preferred
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed

Compensation will be commensurate with candidate qualifications, relevant experience, certifications, and overall fit for the position.
